1:1 Interview Tutoring
We offer 1:1 Medical Interview Tutoring. You will be given 1:1 practice with Dr Usama Ali; an incoming cardiology speciality registrar who has been a real medical school interviewer. He has interviewed at three different medical schools. He has experience in delivering panel interviews, MMI stations and group interviews, meaning we can provide you with tailored interview practice, no matter what the style of interview. He also has a qualification in Medical Education and has been involved in teaching Medical Students at various Medical Schools.
He has helped hundreds of students receive offers for Medical School over the years.
Please note - although Dr Ali has been a real medical school interviewer, he cannot reveal the exact stations/questions that have been asked at the medical schools where he has interviewed. However, he will still provide you with the tools necessary to succeed.

Yes
The tutor running the 1:1 sessions is a Medical School interviewer himself, and has interviewed for panel interviews, MMI interviews and group interviews.

-
Absolutely
The tutor has experience in running medical school interviews for GEM students as well. We can therefore support you with this as well.
-
We completely acknowledge that there are several tutors and companies out there. It can therefore feel confusing when trying to choose the right tutor.
However, our 1:1 tutoring is run by a real Medical School interviewer who is also an NHS doctor. He has experience in interviewing in panel style, MMIs and group interviews, meaning you will be covered.
Not only that, but the tutor has a teaching qualification in Medical Education and has taught Medical Students at various Medical Schools
Given this, you will have 1:1 tutoring with an experience teacher who is also working as a cardiology doctor within the NHS. This will put you in excellent hands - not just for the interview, but also for getting an idea of how things at Medical School are taught.
But don’t just take our word for it - read our testimonials below from various former students and parents!
-
When you book sessions, you can cancel or reschedule them up to 72 hours before the start time of your tutoring session.
It will not be possible to reschedule or cancel sessions if less than 72 hours worth of notice is given.
-
This is a very difficult question to answer as it varies between different students. On average, each student tends to have between 15 - 20 sessions - although some have had significantly less, and others significantly more.
In our experience, the number of sessions needs to be finely tuned. Too few and you may not feel prepared enough. Too many and you risk sounding overly-rehearsed. We will help guide you through this.
-
Yes, the sessions will be very interactive.
Students gain the most out of the sessions by being interactive, asking questions and answering interview-style questions.
However, we do know that this can be nerve-wracking as well. Please don’t worry, though - everything that is said in the sessions remains in the sessions, and the tutor will help put you at ease.
-
No - there is no set curriculum. The sessions are tailored for each individual student, to ensure they gain the most out of the session.
In our experience, a set curriculum can sometimes be too restrictive. Instead, you will agree with the tutor about what you want to go over and get plenty of practice answering interview-style questions.
